The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education – JKBOSE has officially released an extension notification PDF for the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Yojana – Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students – CSSS. The JKBOSE PM-USP CSSS Scholarship 2025 has received a fresh update from the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education which are confirming an extension in the deadline for both new applications and renewals. As per the new notification last date is extended till 15 of November 2025 for online applications for Fresh Batch 2025, 1st Renewal of Batch 2024, 2nd Renewal of Batch 2023, and 3rd Renewal of Batch 2022 have been extended up to 15th November 2025.

Who Can Apply? (Education & Eligibility Requirements)

Students must satisfy the following criteria in order to be considered for the PM-USP CSSS Scholarship 2025:

1. Educational Status
   The applicant must be enrolled in a recognized university or college. Students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate courses through regular mode are eligible.
2. Merit Condition
   The candidate must be within the top 20 percentile of the Class 12 board examination conducted by JKBOSE or any recognized national board.
3. Family Income Requirement
   The combined annual family income should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh. Students from economically weaker households are prioritised under this central scheme.
4. Course Type
   Students enrolled in full-time degree programs can apply. Distance education or private mode applicants are not considered.

The financial assistance varies depending on the level of study. The scholarship amount is fixed and disbursed annually to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-linked bank account.
