The Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme – PMSSS 2025 is a major opportunity for students from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh to study higher education outside and financial assistance will be provided by PMSSS 2025. This scheme will provide school fee, hostel fee and other benefits for student studies. Eligibility for PMSSS
Candidate wishing to apply for PMSSS scholarship scheme need to have following essential criterias:
1) Applicants must be permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh.
2) Candidates should have passed Class 12th class from recognized board like JKBOSE or CBSE in the year 2023-24 or 2024-25.
3) The scholarship is for undergraduate programs in general streams – B.A., B.Com, B.Sc. professional courses like B.Tech, B.Arch and medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS.
4) Candidate applying for PMSSS should have annual income less than rs 8 lakh.
5) Applicants must be less than 30 years to be eligible for PMSSS.
6) candidate college must be AICET approved college or university outside Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Benefits Fee Limits and Maintenance Allowance
The scholarship will be renewable each year but provided the student maintains minimum attendance and good conduct and passes to the next level and If a student fails for two consecutive years they will not get scholarship.

Online Application Process – PMSSS 2025
Following is step wise process to registration on AICTE for PMSSS 2025 then Choice Filling along with Counselling and College Joining steps below:
- Visit official website of AICTE PMSSS at www.aicte-india.org then complete your 12th Registration form.
- Upload documents including scanned copies of Aadhaar, domicile certificate, Class 12 marksheet, income proof and category certificate PMSSS Application Form.
- Select course and college in which in which candidate want to get seat.
- Candidate need to Attend online counseling and Lock admission in allotted College.
- Fee of college will be directly paid in college account.
Reservation & Stream-Wise Distribution
The scheme also includes reservation norms for categories in J&K and Ladakh:
